Reform America is made up of average Americans with a desire to see prosperity and justice for all the people of our nation. We do not believe that the elite few should be allowed to control the destinies of millions without accountability. We do believe that our nation was founded on the idea that the people should be served by government, not be the servants of government.
Our organization was founded in 2007 by Troy and Nikole Wilson-Ripsom and Kyle Pesonen. Three long-time friends with a common vision for the future came together to create a place for people to exchange ideas and air their differences. As time has passed our views have been affected by the world around us and the things we’ve experienced in our personal lives. With increased knowledge has come a softening of stances on some issues and a strengthening of resolve on others.
In the time since it was founded Reform America has changed as an organization as well. Over the years we have been exposed to the viewpoints of numerous writers and readers who have contributed greatly to the discussion and shaped our vision of what can happen when people come together. The American Borders Forum, while not the primary focus of our organization in the beginning, brought many new voices to Reform America and helped us to see different perspectives from around the nation and even outside of our borders on the subject of immigration.
We have added new team members to our organization. Lynn Pesonen and Kevin Green joined our team between 2007 and 2009 as contributors and consultants for the Reform America website. In 2011 we also welcomed Oliver Wesson III to our leadership team and have benefited greatly from his unique perspective and personal experiences.
As we move forward we hope to expand our organization and make a real difference in the lives of our fellow Americans. As we prepare our world for the next generation we look to the past for guidance and to our fellow Americans for support. The challenges we face are many and there will be no easy solutions. Issues once thought to be purely American have become global concerns as technology has grown more expansive and the world has become more interconnected. New world solutions will require new world visions and new world thinkers. Real change has to begin at home. To make the world a better place we must make America a better place. We believe that with compassion, thoughtfulness, and dedication we can, working together, make our nation and our world worthy of passing on to our children.
